Virgo season is officially in full swing now that we are headed into our second week of Virgo energy. The season started early this month on the 22, and it will continue until Sept. 22.
Virgo is a mutable earth sign! The four mutable signs are Virgo, Gemini, Pisces, and Sagittarius, and these signs are great at adaptability and going with the flow.
These signs also require a lot of freedom to be themselves.
Mercury, the planet of communication, intellect, and the mind; rules Virgo. This makes it so Virgos tend to have more introverted tendencies, and they tend to be perfectionists.
They are good listeners as they want to see all sides of a situation before making an opinion on it. They enjoy organization and peace, but may often struggle to find ways to achieve it.
Shadow period incoming
The moon starts off in Libra this week, but will move into Scorpio on Sept. 1, and then into Sagittarius on Sept. 3. During the Libra full moon, we may feel more balanced with our emotions. During the moon in Scorpio, we may feel more emotional and irrational, so be wary of this.
When the moon is in Sagittarius we may feel a little more disconnected from our emotions and may be avoiding them.
We are also in the shadow period of Mercury retrograde right now! This retrograde is the one most people dread, but it’s good to remember that we go through these about three times a year.
Mercury retrograde is known for messing with our technology and can cause us to overthink quite a bit. This retrograde will begin on Sept. 9, but we will start feeling the shift of energy this week.
These shifts in energy are helpful for aligning us with our true paths and putting us back on track. Virgo season is a great time for this retrograde to happen!
Mercury retrograde will be in Libra, which means we need to watch out for miscommunication within our relationships.
Protection of negative energy: Obsidian
The crystal of the week is obsidian!
This crystal is great for transformations and manifesting. It is also a protection crystal, meaning it will protect you from negative energies while bringing your desires to you.
This will be great for this week because we are preparing for the upcoming Mercury retrograde and it will help with our transition into Virgo season!
